The Highlands
Once called the Garden City of the Plains, then referred to as the Northside, and most often referred to as the Highlands, and continues to be one of the most popular neighborhoods in Denver’s City limits. With approximately 9,000 residents and with average home prices above $700,00, Highland has seen massive growth over the last decade. Included with that growth has been a steady introduction of popular eateries, bars, and retailers. The walkability of this neighborhood gives active residents access to the best of the best for Denver lifestyles. In fact, the Highlands is argued to consist of three distinct sections: Highland, LoHi (Lower Highlands), and Platte Street. Each has its own unique feel and characteristics. These factors alone helped create the Highland neighborhood as it is today, one of the hottest residential areas of Denver.
